The Pulse: Party of the Year
Dear GFC Community,
This past weekend was one of the highlights of the year at GFC. We had the privilege of putting on a party for more than 300 individuals with disabilities and their families (totaling around a thousand), and it was awesome!
Thank you to the 300+ volunteers who served in all kinds of ways to make this possible!
My favorite quote about JOY comes from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, who says, “Joy is the surest sign of the presence of God.” The New Testament echoes this, citing joy as the second fruit of the Spirit (right behind love). Where there is joy, there is the presence of God’s Spirit, also.
Our hope and prayer is that the guests we were so privileged to host at Joy Prom this year experienced not just hospitality but the goodness of God. That through the tangible love of God’s people, they experienced the joy of God’s presence in a powerful way.

So grateful to be a part of this community with you.

P.S. This past Sunday we tied a bow on our Eastertide message series, and this coming Sunday, we jump back into our study of Luke! Hope you’ll be there….. And don’t forget to bring your Luke journal!
